Often the same day or the next morning when you order early in the day, subject to truck availability; later orders are usually delivered the following business day. Have the size, the placement spot and the type of debris ready when you call. Same-day service is common but not guaranteed, so book a day ahead for a firm delivery window.

Usually not. A container on your own driveway or private property does not need a permit in most cities. A permit is typically required only when the dumpster sits on a public street, sidewalk or right-of-way, in which case the city or county public-works office issues a temporary right-of-way permit. Rules and fees vary by municipality, so check before delivery.
